The solution is to change the power settings for the Trackpad and Keyboard drivers, not allowing them to wake the computer. However, the Trackpad drivers would fail to reinitialize on sleep -- specifically in XP -- but you the scheduling the Trackpad to restart on unlock takes care of this. - J I would also like to note that your Trackpad workaround fixes another issue:

Even if I don't use it, all other things being equal - having the option is a plus. 3) All the hardware (Intel graphics, etc) works very well with Vista. 4) Novelty? =) A few reasons…

I would have thought it would be easier to get a PC that is more geared to the Windows operating system. Also, is there any chance that I can get a copy of that PowerToy you were working on for the Vista Search Indexer. I've been waiting for the rest of the posts on the Shell blog regarding the making of the PowerToy, but I haven't found a download for it yet. :) What was your reasoning behind buying a Mac then?
