I see that the competition about the icon has started already, so here my proposal, downloadable from my website under the following URL:

http://www2.vo.lu/homepages/eric.francois/Startpp_Icon_EJF.zip

It's a zipped .ICO file with the icon in all sizes (256, 48, 32, 24,16) each time in XP style with alpha channel and Truecolor version with 1-bit transparency.

New Icons. Not fantastic but an improvement; all are 256x256 vista format icons.

Icon 1

Icon 2 (same design slight variation)

While you're at it, maybe invest in a certificate so that Start++ doesn't come up as from an unknown publisher? I bet MS likes your tools enough to buy you a certificate to use (that has your name on it so as not to make it look too official). It would be a nice example for other developers if the hero hobby coders started signing code... I'm a big WDS fan so I'm really looking forward to Start++ but unsigned code is sooo 20th century!

I'd start by taking a look at some of the open source project trackers out there (i.e. CodePlex, SourceForge, or Tigris).

We can host the forum for you if you want. We can do one of two things...setup your own forum or just add a sub-forum to our current forum. You should be able to see my email address in the comment so send me a message if you want me to setup a forum for Start++.

Thanks for a great app Brandon!

Congratulations on the downloads.

If you're thinking about setting up a forum, I would recommend looking into Google groups. It's super easy to set up and use and is quite flexible. http://groups.google.com/

Good luck!
