Disabling UAC elevation prompts on Windows Vista will make your system less secure.
Do not make this change unless you understand what you are doing.

The default configuration of UAC in Windows Vista is designed to protected your system while interfering as little as possible in your everday use of Windows Vista. I, personally, run my computers with the default UAC settings. This "tweak" is meant only as an option for users who otherwise would have diabled UAC anyway to still enjoy some of its benefits. If that's what you want, click the link below to download the .reg file.

I've changed my mind, take me home.

I understand that disabling or reducing the functionality of UAC may put my system at additional risk, and I know what I'm doing. Give me the reg file already!
Alternatively, users of Business or Ultimate SKUs can make the change themselves:
  1. Run "secpol.msc"
  2. Expand "Local Policies" and click "Security Options"
  3. Scroll down to the item User Account Control: Behavior of the elevation prompt for administrators in Admin Approval Mode
  4. Set it to "Elevate without prompting."

Linkers, please don't link directly to the .reg file, instead link to this page or the original post.
